How to use these docs

  • Each tool is explained on its page

Every tool page has step-by-step instructions and its own FAQ. Click a tool name in the list below to go there.

  • Check the badge

Each tool's badge tells you whether it runs on your device, on our server, or uses AI. Details are in “Where is your file processed?” below.

  • Seeing an error?

Look up the error code or message in the troubleshooting section to find the likely cause and the fix.

Where is your file processed?

Each tool uses one of four approaches, shown on its badge:
  • On your device

    Op je apparaat

The tool runs in your browser and the file is not sent to any server. This is true for most tools.

  • On our server

    Op onze server

The file is sent to our server over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.

  • Device + server option

    Grotendeels op je apparaat

The tool runs on your device, and only one specific option uses the server. We say so next to that option.

  • AI

    AI

The text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing. Always review the result, and don't use these tools for highly sensitive documents.

Supported formats

This is an overview. Each tool shows exactly which formats it accepts when you choose a file.
  • PDF files

Most PDF tools accept one or more PDF files. Password-protected files need the password first.

  • Images

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC and TIFF. Converting HEIC and TIFF may use our server if your browser can't handle them.

  • Office files

Converting Word, PowerPoint and Excel to PDF, and back, runs on our server.

  • Web pages

Turning a web page link into a PDF or an image runs on our server.

  • Output files

PDF, PDF/A, JPG, PNG, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text and Markdown, depending on the tool. When a tool produces several files, they may download together as one ZIP file.

How well an Arabic PDF converts depends on how it was made. Scanned files need OCR first, and you should always check the result.

Troubleshooting by error message

If you see an error message, look up its code here:
  • The file is password-protected

    password_required

Enter the password when the tool asks for it. If you know it, you can also remove it first with Unlock PDF and then continue.

  • Incorrect password

    wrong_password

Check your keyboard language (Arabic or English) and capital letters, then type it again. We can't open a file without its correct password.

  • Damaged or incomplete file

    corrupt

Download the file from its source again, try Repair PDF, or ask the sender for a new copy.

  • File is over the tool's limit

    too_large

Split the file with Split PDF or compress it with Compress PDF first. On a phone, try very large files on a computer instead.

  • Format not supported

    unsupported

Check which formats the tool accepts on its page. HEIC photos, for example, can be converted first with Convert to JPG.

  • Processing took too long

    timeout

Try a smaller file or fewer pages, or split the file with Split PDF and process each part on its own.

  • The server is busy

    busy

Wait a minute and try again. Tools that run on your device aren't affected.

  • Couldn't reach the target size

    target_unreachable

Use fewer pages or lower image resolution, choose a slightly larger size if the portal allows it, or try the Strong level in Compress PDF (it uses our server).

  • Conversion failed

    conversion_failed

If the file is a scan, try OCR PDF first. If the problem continues, contact us with the tool name and file type, but don't send a sensitive document.
