Frequently asked questions
Can it recover lost detail?
No tool can bring back detail that was never captured. Upscaling smooths edges and reduces noise when enlarging, so the image looks clearer, but very blurry photos have limits.
Will it make unreadable text readable?
Don't count on it. If text is unclear in the original, it's better to retake the photo in good light, or use Scan to PDF for documents.
How is this different from Resize image?
Resizing enlarges by stretching pixels, which looks soft or blocky. Upscaling rebuilds edges while enlarging for a cleaner result, but it needs server processing.
Is my photo uploaded?
Yes, this tool runs on the server. The image is sent to our server over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.
The upscaled file is very large. What should I do?
Enlarging naturally increases file size. If you need a smaller file, compress it afterwards with Compress image.
Is it free?
Yes. You can upscale images for free without creating an account.
