Terms of Use

The terms for using Safha: acceptable use, ownership of your files, the limits of our liability, accounts and changes to the service.

In short

  • Use the tools only with files you have the right to work with, and never for anything unlawful.
  • Your files remain entirely yours. Files processed by server tools are deleted right after processing; for signature requests, we keep the document until the request is completed or you delete it.
  • Always check the result before you submit it to any official body, especially the output of Summarize PDF and Translate PDF.
  • All tools are free in the current version and can be used without an account.
  • The service is provided "as is", without any warranty, express or implied.

By using Safha, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms go together with our privacy policy.

Who we are

Safha is a service provided by akkadX LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean akkadX LLC.

The service

Safha is a set of tools for working with PDF and image files. Most tools run inside your browser on your device; some send your file to our server for processing and delete it right after, as shown on each tool and explained in the privacy policy.

Summarize PDF and Translate PDF send the text extracted from your file to a third-party AI provider for processing. Request signatures keeps the document and signer details until the request is completed or you delete it.

All tools are free in the current version and can be used without an account. Some features, such as saved workflows and signature requests, need a free account.

Acceptable use

Only use the tools on files you have the right to work with. In particular:

  • Don't process files you have no right to use, such as other people's documents without their permission, or copyrighted material in a way that breaks the law.
  • Use Unlock PDF only on your own files, or on files whose owner has allowed you to unlock them, with a password you know.
  • Don't use the service for illegal content or activity, such as forging official documents, fraud or harming others.
  • Don't try to disrupt or abuse the service, for example by sending large volumes of automated requests, trying to access parts not meant for you, or getting around the limits on the tools.

Request signatures

If you use Request signatures, you agree to the following:

  • Only send requests to people who expect them and are connected to the document, and enter their names and emails correctly.
  • Don't use the feature for bulk, promotional or unwanted messages, to impersonate a person or organization, or to trick anyone into signing something.
  • Don't upload documents you have no right to share with the signers.
  • We may set limits on the number of requests or signers, and suspend accounts that abuse the feature.

About legal standing: Request signatures produces an electronic signature with an audit trail showing the time of each step and the email that took it. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. Whether electronic signatures are accepted varies by country, organization and type of document, and we don't guarantee that any particular organization will accept one. Check the requirements of the organization involved, and get legal advice for important documents.

Your files are yours

Your files remain entirely yours, and using the service gives us no rights over them. Files processed by server tools are used only to do what you asked and are deleted right after processing. For signature requests, we keep the document until the request is completed or you delete it, as explained in our privacy policy.

You are responsible for the content of your files and for how you use the results.

Accuracy of results

We work to make results accurate, but we can't guarantee the accuracy of every conversion, compression or OCR result. Results depend on how the file was made and its quality, especially with Arabic text and scanned documents.

Always check the result before you submit it to any official body or rely on it for anything important, and keep a copy of your original file.

AI results

Summarize PDF and Translate PDF rely on AI, and their output can contain mistakes or leave things out, even when it sounds convincing.

  • Review the summary or translation yourself before you rely on it, and don't rely on it alone for legal, medical or financial decisions.
  • If an organization asks for a certified translation, this tool doesn't replace one.
  • Don't use these tools on documents you have no right to share, because the extracted text is sent to a third-party provider for processing.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one:

  • Use a valid email address that you can access.
  • Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

We may suspend or ban any account that breaks these terms or abuses the service. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected].

Limits and changes to the service

We may set limits on file size, number of files or processing time, and we may change them from time to time. We may also add, change or retire tools. We try to show the limits inside each tool.

Provided "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, akkadX LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, opportunities or profits, arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it, including an organization rejecting a file you prepared with it.

Intellectual property

The site, its design and code, and the Safha and akkadX names and marks belong to akkadX LLC. These terms don't give you any right to use them other than to use the service as offered.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date at the top of the page, and if a change is significant we will point it out clearly on the site. If you keep using the service after an update, you accept the new terms.
