A ready CV template for job applications in Iraq
Iraqi and Gulf-style templates are preselected: a photo, a personal details block, and Arabic and English versions of the same CV.
Mostly on your device
Editing, preview, drafts, Word export and printing or saving as PDF from your browser all happen on your device; only the “Download PDF” button sends the CV content to our server over an encrypted connection to create the file, and it is deleted right after. The PNG of page 1 is made on your device when your browser allows it, otherwise the same way as the PDF.
Your CV stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server unless you press “Download PDF” or save it to your account.
Choose a template to start
Every template supports Arabic, English and bilingual CVs. Change the template, colours and fonts any time without losing your content.
A CV for applications in Iraq often looks different from the Western samples you find online: it usually has a photo and a personal details block under the name, and it is often expected in both Arabic and English.
This page opens CV builder on the Iraqi and Gulf-style templates. Pick one, replace the sample content with your own, and download a PDF ready to upload or print.
What many employers in Iraq expect
There is no single official format, and what matters most is what the job ad itself asks for. Still, many government offices, universities and local companies commonly expect:
- A clear photo on a light background.
- Personal details: full name, date and place of birth, nationality, marital status, address and phone number.
- Education spelled out: degree, field, university and graduation year, often placed before experience for fresh graduates.
- Courses and certificates, and languages with your level in each.
Foreign companies and international organizations usually want an English CV and may prefer no photo and fewer personal details. For those, pick a single-column ATS-style template.
Personal details and photo
The Iraqi and Gulf-style templates have a personal details block under your name and photo. Fill in only what you need: nationality, date and place of birth, marital status, address, military service and driver's license. Empty fields don't appear on the CV.
You can show or hide the photo, crop it, and make it a circle, rounded or square. If you need an official photo on a white background, prepare it first with Passport & ID photo, then add it to your CV.
Arabic and English versions
Write each field once in Arabic and English, then choose: Arabic only, English only, or both in one file, side by side or Arabic then English. See Bilingual Arabic–English CV as PDF for details.
Dates can use the month names familiar in Iraq («كانون الثاني، شباط») or the «يناير، فبراير» style, with Latin or Arabic-Indic digits.
File size and portal limits
Many online application portals cap file size, for example at 500 KB, 1 MB or 2 MB, and the number varies by portal. A text-based CV PDF is usually small; the photo is what normally adds size.
If your CV is over the limit, use Compress PDF and choose the exact size, or go straight to Compress PDF to 1 MB or Compress PDF to 500 KB. If the portal wants your CV and documents in one file, use Application pack or Merge PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Is there one official CV format for jobs in Iraq?
No single format applies everywhere, and each ad may ask for something different. These templates follow what many employers commonly expect: a photo, personal details and clear education. Always read the ad and adjust your CV to it.
Should I put my photo on my CV?
Many employers in Iraq and the Gulf expect a photo, while many foreign companies prefer CVs without one. You can show or hide the photo in one tap and keep both versions from the same details.
Which personal details should I include?
Commonly: full name, date and place of birth, nationality, marital status, address, phone and email. Include only what the ad asks for; fields you leave empty don't appear on the CV.
The portal rejects my CV because the file is too big. What now?
The photo is usually what makes a CV large. Use Compress PDF and pick the exact size written on the portal, such as 500 KB or 1 MB, then open the file and check the photo and text are still clear.
Is this tool linked to a government body or job portal?
No. CV builder is an independent tool by akkadX and is not part of, or endorsed by, any government body or job portal. It only prepares your CV; you apply yourself.
Is it free, and is my data sent to a server?
It is currently free, with no watermark and no account needed. Editing and drafts happen on your device; only the “Download PDF” button sends the CV content to our server over an encrypted connection to create the file, and it is deleted right after. To stay fully on your device, print and save as PDF from your browser.
