How to use it
- 1
Take or pick photos
Tap “Take photo” to open the camera, or pick photos already on your phone. Place the page on a dark surface in good light.
- 2
Crop to the page
Drag the frame corners to the edges of the page, and the image is straightened so it looks flat, like a scan.
- 3
Clean it up
Choose “Document” mode to whiten the background and sharpen the text, or keep the original colors for photos and colored stamps.
- 4
Save as PDF
Add more pages if you need to, then save. If a portal needs a certain size, send the file to Compress PDF.
What you get
Photos stay on your device
Cropping, cleanup and conversion all run in your browser. Your ID photos are not uploaded to our servers.
Perspective correction
A page shot at an angle is straightened into a flat rectangle, without the table or your fingers in the background.
White background, crisp text
Document mode removes light shadows and darkens the text, so the page stays readable even after compression.
Many pages, one file
Shoot the front and back of an ID card and the rest of your papers one after another, and get them all in one PDF.
From camera to portal
Shoot, convert to PDF, then compress to the required size, all from your phone without installing an app.
Frequently asked questions
Is scanning to PDF free?
Yes. You can scan documents to PDF for free without creating an account.
Are photos of my documents uploaded?
No. Capturing, cropping, cleanup and PDF conversion all happen in your browser on your phone, and the photos are not sent to any server.
How is this different from Image to PDF?
Image to PDF puts your photos into a file as they are. Here each photo is cropped to the page edges, straightened and cleaned up, so it looks like it came from a scanner.
How do I get the clearest scan?
Put the page on a dark, flat surface, shoot in daylight or strong light without direct flash, and hold the phone straight above the page. Avoid casting the shadow of your hand or phone on it.
The file is too big for the portal. What now?
Phone photos are usually large. After saving, open the file in Compress PDF and choose the size the portal asks for, such as 500 KB or 1 MB.
The browser won't open my camera. What can I do?
The first time, your browser asks for permission to use the camera. If you declined by mistake, allow it in the browser's site settings, or take photos with your camera app and pick them from your gallery.
Can I search or copy the text in the PDF?
No. The file contains images of the pages. To make the text searchable and copyable, run it through OCR PDF.
