Where is the file processed?

On our serverThis tool needs our server. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.

Steps

  1. Choose your PDF: Tap “Select PDF file” or drag it into the box, from your phone or computer.
  2. Set OCR: Leave OCR on “Auto” so it switches on when scanned pages are detected, or turn it on yourself. Recognition languages default to Arabic and English.
  3. Convert: Tap “Convert to Word”. The file is sent to our server over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.
  4. Download and check: Open the file in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or WPS. Check tables and headings: complex layouts may need a few small manual fixes.

What it offers

  • Careful with Arabic text

We handle Arabic text direction so it reads right to left, and work to keep letters connected instead of coming out broken or reversed.
  • OCR for scanned files

If your PDF is a scan, optical character recognition (OCR) turns it into editable Arabic and English text.
  • Layout kept where possible

We try to keep paragraphs, headings, tables and images in place. Simple documents come out very close to the original.
  • Deleted after processing

Conversion needs our server, so the file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.
  • Phone or computer

Works in Chrome and Safari with nothing to install. Free, no account needed.

Limits

Because the file is sent to our server, there are limits on file size and number of runs, shown on the tool page. Signed-in members get higher limits for free.

Frequently asked questions

Will my Arabic PDF convert to Word with 100% accuracy?

No converter can guarantee a perfect result for every file, and anyone who promises that is overselling. We work to keep Arabic letters connected and text right to left, but the result depends on how the PDF was created. PDFs exported from Word usually convert very well.

Why do Arabic letters come out broken or reversed in some converters?

Some programs store letters inside the PDF in the order they appear on screen rather than reading order, or without a proper mapping between font shapes and characters. A converter then reads the text backwards or as separate letters. We reorder the text and rejoin letters when the file contains the information needed; when the font doesn't, OCR is the more accurate route.

Will the formatting stay the same?

We try to keep the layout close to the original: paragraphs, headings, tables and images. Complex designs such as multiple columns or overlapping text boxes may need light manual fixes after conversion.

My PDF is a scan. Can I still get editable text?

Yes. Turn on OCR or leave it on “Auto”. It recognizes Arabic and English, and accuracy depends on scan quality: straight, sharp pages give much better results than tilted or dark photos.

Is my file uploaded?

Yes, PDF to Word needs our server. The file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing. We don't keep a copy.

Can I convert PDF to Word on my phone or iPhone?

Yes. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, pick the file from Files or Downloads, then open the Word file in the Word or WPS app.

What format is the result?

A DOCX Word file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, WPS Office and LibreOffice.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

It has to be opened first. If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF, then convert as usual.
