Tool guides
Merge PDF files into one
Where is the file processed?
Steps
- Choose your files: Tap “Select PDF files” or drag and drop them into the box. Pick as many files as you need from your phone or computer.
- Put them in order: Drag the cards to reorder them, or sort by name. The first file in the list becomes the start of the merged PDF.
- Merge: Tap “Merge PDF” and wait a few seconds. Everything runs inside your browser.
- Download: Download the merged file. If it is larger than a portal allows, send it straight to Compress PDF.
What it offers
Files stay on your device
Merging runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers and nobody else sees your documents.Drag-and-drop ordering
Reorder files before merging and preview page thumbnails to check that everything is in place.Ready for online applications
Put IDs, certificates and forms into one PDF, then compress it to the size a portal asks for.Works on your phone
Built mobile-first and runs in Chrome and Safari without installing an app.No quality loss
Pages are copied as they are, without re-compression, so text and images look exactly the same.
Limits
The tool runs on your device, so the largest file it can handle depends on your device's and browser's memory. Very large files can take longer on phones.
Frequently asked questions
Is merging PDFs free?
Yes. You can merge PDF files for free without creating an account.
Are my files uploaded when I merge them?
No. The merge tool runs in your browser on your own device and files are not sent to any server. You can check it yourself: disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
How do I combine my documents into one PDF for an online application?
If your documents are photos from your phone, use Image to PDF, which turns several photos into one PDF in a single step. If they are already PDFs, select them here, reorder and merge. Then compress the result if the portal has a size limit.
The merged file is bigger than the portal allows. What now?
A merged PDF is roughly the sum of the original sizes. Open Compress PDF, choose a target size such as 500 KB or 1 MB, and upload the compressed file.
Can I merge PDFs on an iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, tap “Select PDF files” and pick them from Files or Downloads. Very large files can take longer on phones with limited memory.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
The file has to be opened first. If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF, then merge as usual.
Can I take only some pages from each file?
Merge combines whole files. To pick specific pages, use Extract pages first, or merge and then delete what you don't need with Organize PDF.
