Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Arabic-Indic and Latin digits?

Arabic-Indic digits (١ ٢ ٣) are common in books and official documents in Iraq and the Gulf. Latin digits (1 2 3) are used in North Africa and most English documents. Pick what fits your document or what the recipient asks for.

Can I number my thesis after merging the chapters?

Yes. Merge the chapters first with Merge PDF, then number the merged file here so the numbers run across every page.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Numbering runs in your browser on your own device, and the file is not sent to any server.

Will the number cover text at the bottom of the page?

The number is placed on top of the page content where you choose. If the bottom is busy, pick the top, and check the preview before downloading.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It runs in Chrome and Safari on phones without installing an app.

Is it free?

Yes. You can add page numbers for free without creating an account.
