How to use it

  1. 1

    Choose your PDF

Tap “Select PDF file” or drag it into the box, from your phone or computer.

  2. 2

    Pick the target language

Choose the language to translate into: Arabic, English, French or Kurdish (Sorani). For example, Arabic for an English file, or English for an Arabic one.

  3. 3

    Translate

Tap “Translate”. The text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing.

  4. 4

    Download and review

Download the translated PDF and check it, especially names, numbers and specialist terms. In busy layouts some text may shift, because sentence length differs between languages.

What you get

  • The whole file, translated

Every page is translated into one file, so you don't have to copy and paste text into a translator piece by piece.

  • Layout kept as far as possible

We try to keep headings, paragraphs, tables and images in place, and translated Arabic or Kurdish text runs right to left.

  • How your file is handled

This tool uses AI: the text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing.

  • Review before relying on it

AI translation can get terms or meaning wrong. Review it before you use it, and avoid uploading highly sensitive documents.

  • Scanned files

If your PDF is made of scanned page images, it may need OCR PDF first so there is text to translate.

  • Phone or computer

Works in Chrome and Safari with nothing to install, and is free in the current version.

Frequently asked questions

How do I translate a PDF from English to Arabic?

Choose the file, pick Arabic as the target language, then tap “Translate”. When processing is done, download a PDF translated into Arabic that keeps the original page order as far as possible.

Can I translate an entire PDF, not just part of it?

Yes. The tool translates the whole file, page by page. Long files take longer, and if you only need one chapter, split it out with Split PDF first.

Will the formatting stay the same?

We keep the layout as far as possible: headings, paragraphs, tables and images. But translated text can be longer or shorter than the original, and Arabic and Kurdish run right to left while English and French run left to right, so some text may move or change size in busy designs.

Is the translation accurate?

AI translation is useful for understanding content quickly, but it can get specialist terms, names or precise meaning wrong. Review it before relying on it. Documents that an official body requires to be certified need a certified translator.

Is my file sent to anyone else?

Yes. This tool uses AI: the text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing. We recommend not using it for highly sensitive documents.

My PDF is a scan. Can I translate it?

The tool needs text it can extract from the file. If the pages are images, run the file through OCR PDF first, then translate the result.

Can I translate a PDF from Arabic to English, or into French or Kurdish?

Yes. Pick the target language: Arabic, English, French or Kurdish (Sorani). Choose English, for example, and an Arabic file is translated into English, keeping the layout as far as possible.

I only need the general idea. Should I translate the whole file?

Not necessarily. Summarize PDF is quicker for that: it gives you an English or Arabic summary without translating every page.
