What you get
Document structure kept
Headings become Markdown headings, lists stay lists, tables become tables, and links stay clickable.
Arabic in the right order
We reorder Arabic text so it reads right to left with connected letters, when the file contains the information needed.
In your browser for text PDFs
PDFs that contain real text are converted on your device without being uploaded to any server.
OCR for scanned files
For scanned pages, the file is sent to our server over an encrypted connection to recognize Arabic and English text, and deleted right after processing.
Ready for your tools
Markdown is lightweight text that opens in any editor. It suits documentation, wikis and notes apps, and is easy to paste into AI tools.
Frequently asked questions
What is Markdown, and why convert a PDF to it?
Markdown is a simple way to write formatted text with a few symbols, such as # for headings and - for lists. It helps when you want to move PDF content into documentation, a notes app or a website and keep its structure clear and easy to edit.
Is my file uploaded?
Regular text PDFs are converted in your browser and not sent to any server. Only when you turn on OCR for a scanned file is it sent to our server over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.
Will Arabic text come out correctly?
We work to output Arabic right to left with connected letters, but the result depends on how the PDF was created. PDFs exported from Word usually convert well; if the font in the file doesn't carry the character information, OCR is the more accurate route.
Are tables kept?
Simple tables become Markdown tables. Tables with merged cells may need manual tidying, because Markdown doesn't support merged cells at all.
How is this different from PDF to text?
PDF to text gives you raw text with no formatting. Markdown keeps headings, lists, tables and links, so the document stays organized when you open it in any editor that supports Markdown.
My PDF is a scan. Can I still convert it?
Yes. Turn on OCR. It recognizes Arabic and English, and accuracy depends on scan quality: straight, sharp pages give much better results than tilted or dark photos.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in Safari and Chrome with nothing to install. You can copy the result directly or download it as a file.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
It has to be opened first. If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF, then convert as usual.
