Where is the file processed?

AIThis tool uses AI: text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider. We don’t keep the file or the text after processing.

Steps

  1. Choose your PDF: Tap “Select PDF file” or drag it into the box, from your phone or computer.
  2. Pick language and length: Choose Arabic or English for the summary, whatever language the file is in. Then pick the length you want, and turn on “Key points” for a short list.
  3. Summarize: Tap “Summarize”. The text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing.
  4. Review and copy: Read the summary, check the important points against the original, then copy or download it.

What it offers

  • Arabic or English summaries

Summarize an English file in Arabic, or the other way around, and understand it in your language without translating the whole document.
  • Length you choose

A short summary for a quick idea, or a longer one when you need more detail, plus a list of key points.
  • How your file is handled

This tool uses AI: the text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing.
  • Review before relying on it

AI can make mistakes or miss an important detail. Review the summary before you rely on it, and avoid using the tool for highly sensitive documents.
  • Scanned files

If your PDF is made of scanned page images, it may need OCR PDF first so there is text to summarize.
  • Phone or computer

Works in Chrome and Safari with nothing to install, and is free in the current version.

Limits

Because the file is sent to our server, there are limits on file size and number of runs, shown on the tool page. Signed-in members get higher limits for free.

Frequently asked questions

How do I summarize a PDF with AI?

Choose the file, pick the summary language and length, then tap “Summarize”. When processing is done you get the summary and a list of key points that you can copy or download.

Can I get an Arabic summary of an English PDF?

Yes. Choose Arabic as the summary language and the summary is written in Arabic even if the file is in English, and vice versa. If you need the full text in another language, use Translate PDF.

Is my file sent to anyone else?

Yes, and you should know that before you use it. This tool uses AI: the text is extracted from your file and sent over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI provider for processing. We don't keep the file or the text after processing. We recommend not using it for highly sensitive documents.

Is the summary always accurate?

That can't be guaranteed. AI can misread a sentence, miss an important detail or word something inaccurately. Use the summary to get the idea quickly, and go back to the original before any decision or quote.

My PDF is a scan. Can I summarize it?

The tool needs text it can extract from the file. If the pages are images, run the file through OCR PDF first, then summarize the result.

Can I summarize a long book or research paper?

Yes, but the longer the file, the more likely some details get condensed. For a more precise summary of one chapter, split it out with Split PDF first and summarize it on its own.

Can I summarize a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, pick the file from Files or Downloads, then copy or download the summary.

Is summarizing free?

Yes. All tools are free in the current version.
