Workflows: your repeated steps in a single run
If you repeat the same steps on every file, such as merging documents, compressing them and numbering the pages, a workflow saves you the trouble. Pick the tools once, set the options for each step, then drop in new files and download the finished result.
How it works

Create a new workflow
From the workflows page in your account, pick the first tool, then add the next tools in the order you want.

Set each step's options
For example, the target size in the compress step, or the digit style and position in the page-number step.

Save it with a clear name
Give it a name you'll recognize, like “Application file”, so it's easy to find next time.

Run it on new files
Choose the workflow and add your files. The output of each step feeds the next until you get the final file.
Where are your files processed in a workflow?

On-device steps: in your browser
Steps such as merge, page numbers and image to PDF run on your device. Your file never leaves it.

Server steps: same as the tool
If you add a step that needs our server, such as PDF to Word or the Strong compression level, the file is sent to our server for that step over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted right after processing.

Documents for an application
Turn photos of your documents into a PDF, merge it with any other PDFs you have, then compress the file to 1 MB or to whatever limit the portal sets.

Workflows are saved to your account, so you need a free account to create and run them. The individual tools stay available without one.

Are my files saved with the workflow?
No. What's saved is the order of the tools and the options for each step. Your files are processed according to each tool's rule, and you download the result to your device.
Do workflows work on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser. Large files or long workflows can take longer on phones with limited memory.
What if one of the steps fails?
You'll see a message explaining why, such as a password-protected file or a size that can't be reached. Fix the problem and run the workflow again, or use the tools one by one.
Are workflows free?
Yes. All tools and workflows are free in the current version, and there is no paid plan right now.
